just a little Introduction about myself
2006 – started before i was still a student in college. a guy living off my parents. I was very entrepreneurial from young, always wanted to start my own business.
And it was through some motivational seminars then i started to know about internet marketing.
During that time, i started on a small pathetic project where i didn’t make much money from it for a very long time. This is a project on ‘how to study’
In fact, for this project, I was stuck for a year or 2 before I worked on other markets. But even I changed my market, I still didn’t make much money online.
But it was during mid of 2008 where I decided to go crazy and test out a lot of strategies.
And that was when things started to click.
I wrote a lot of articles, some generated a few clicks, where others generate tens and hundreds of clicks.
When the articles are submitted in a consistent basis, the traffic comes in more stable as well.
And later on, I learn about search engine optimization where I started to rank websites easily to the top of certain keywords. And this created another form of stable traffic.
I realized that as long as I could generate traffic in a consistent basis, then the income would start to trickle in a gradual basis.
Initially, every month the traffic was like a few hundreds, but as time goes by, the traffic increases to a few thousands. To date, I’m generating more than 300,000 unique visitors every month.
In fact, each year I should be able to double the traffic easily. And the income I generated usually doubles as well.
I hope to add another $100,000 into business as well as increase the conversion rates and buyers satisfaction.
One of the learning lessons I’ve picked up is that there are no quick schemes out there that makes you money instantly but it’s all about creating value and how you leverage to put this value in front of more people out there.
And in this membership, I’m going to share with you all the steps and strategies to create your first $500 per month online business from scratch. We are going to set the foundation right because once you make your first $500, you can easily make the next $1,000, the next $2,000 or even more.
This membership will be broken down into several weeks to allow you to absorb all the information and take action towards it.
In this first module, I’m going to give you a general overview of how I created my business, what are the kind of businesses and market you should go into. What are some of the expectations you should have for your online business?
When I first work on a project, I would first focus on getting the traffic for the website. Typically, it could take from a month to 3 months to get 1,000 – 3,000 visitors a month.
With 1,000 – 3,000 visitors a month, you could easily promote products and make $300-500 a month. It really depends on what are the markets you are going into and how well you provide value in your website/blog with your readers.
Most people would just give up when they get 500 visitors or less. They would be discouraged by the effort they put in and think that it’s not worth the time.
But I’m not going to lie to you, it’s going to be a tough journey when you first started. Until you can drive 1,000-3,000 visitors a month, then your online business can start to grow faster.
Once you get the traffic, you need to find out how to promote or sell products to make you some money first. It is important because it will keep you motivated to take more action and make more money later on.
After that, you need to learn how to funnel your traffic into your list instead of just selling from your website. Building a list is one of the most important elements to succeed in online marketing.
With 1,000 – 3,000 visitors, you could probably get around 100-300 leads a month depending on your conversion rates of your optin box.
After that, I focus on getting more and more traffic so that I could increase the conversion rates even more. Most of the time, when the traffic increases, the sales increase too.
What I have just talked about is a simplified model of how you can make from $500 all the way to $5,000 or $10,000 a month.
Just to show you what I’m talking about in a more visual manner.
You will first need to identify your market. This is one of the most important lessons I have learnt over time. If you choose the wrong market – whereby there is no demand for the products you are selling, then you will face the problem of having no sales. If you choose a market that is too niche, then you will face difficulties of getting traffic to your website.
After identifying your market, you can build a website that provides valuable information that your target market wants. This is another important aspect as it would affect your conversion rates. For example if your website don’t look professional enough, people would just leave your website within the first few seconds of their visits.And if your website is just selling products to your readers, then no one will come back to your website again.
Henceforth, the way you write your content must be carefully planned and it must first be offering simple solutions to your target audience.
After you have written the articles in your website, the next thing you want to do is to drive traffic to your website. When you drive traffic to your website, you can drive straight to your website or squeeze page. If you have a squeeze page that can convert traffic easily like out of 10 visitors, 5 of them will enter their email and name, then you will drive them to the squeeze page because by growing your list, your business can grow in the long run.
Lastly, you want to build a good relationship with your list. It’s not about making money straightaway but rather you offer them so much value that they would come back to you for advice over and over again. When you have done this successfully, and you offer good products to them, most of them would listen to what you have to say. They may even ask you for advice for any concerns they have regarding the subject matter. And that is how you build a strong information business online.
In fact, if you have done this correctly, you will make a lot of money then you ever imagined.
